Vendors sought for Rising Sun’s Holly Days Marketplace-Nov 2017

Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism will host Rising Sun’s Holly Days Marketplace on weekends throughout November 2017. An arts, crafts, vintage, and antique market, this new event will take place on Saturdays and Sundays inside the Pendleton Art Center’s Main Gallery. The Pendleton is located at 201 Main Street in downtown Rising Sun, Indiana.

Vendors are needed to provide a boutique-like shopping experience consisting of arts, crafts, repurposed items, apparel, jewelry, children’s items, antiques, pre-packaged food products, and original holiday items. All vendors should display their allotted areas in observance of the Christmas season, although all items for sale need not be holiday-themed. No flea market items, commercially-made products, or prepared foods are permitted.

Available on a first-come, first served basis, 6’ and 12’ wide by 6’ deep vendor spaces are free with a refundable deposit. To offer a selection of goods, potential vendors may be declined due to an overabundance of like products being offered for sale, or if the market is filled to capacity.  Vendors will be accepted in the order that their application and payment is received.

An application, refundable deposit, liability waiver, and two non-returnable photos showing examples of vendor’s merchandise must be submitted with all applications.

Vendors must commit to being open during all the scheduled marketplace hours and dates to have their money returned after the close of the event. Should a vendor(s) not open during schedule hours/days, their deposit will be forfeited. Vendors or a dealer representative must be at your space at all times. Deposits will be returned the week following the close of the event.

A $200 refundable deposit is due at the time other application is submitted. Applications received without a deposit will not be considered complete until payment is received. The deadline to submit an application is Saturday, September 16 at 4:30 p.m. or until space is filled. Vendors are responsible for carrying insurance on their goods/personal self while inside the Pendleton Art Center.

Exhibitors must supply their own tables, chairs, table coverings, and change. It is the responsibility of each vendor to possess the proper licenses and permits to sell their specific merchandise. Electric is not available.

Snacks will be offered for sale on-site by local non-profit organizations for fundraising purposes. Coffee will be available from a downtown business that will be set up inside the Pendleton.

Owners of the Pendleton Art Center and employees, representatives, volunteers, and board members of the Ohio County Convention Tourism and Visitors Commission will not be held responsible for any damages, injury, or theft to vendors’ merchandise, persons, volunteers, or employees.
